About Jane

I've always observed the world in an artistic way, seeing compositions, colors, and patterns in my mind. Recently, I began to put those observations into my own work.

My art is about colors and patterns. The challenge for me lies in using what I find to be simple and beautiful subjects (like flowers, vines, plants, fruit, etc.) and incorporating them with other elements of art, creating a piece that is cohesive and interesting to experience.

My professional training came from the John Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I later went on to get my Masters in the Visual Arts from Purdue University.

The mediums I presently work in are acrylic paint, watercolors, and ink.
